Xiaomi - India's No. 1 Smartphone Brand.

Xiaomi intelligently used many social media analytics to make the brand successful in the Indian smartphone industry. They used Social customer care, Market research, Campaign assessment, Sentimental analysis and social media research and listening.

Market research

Xiaomi introduced their smartphone, Redmi phones, in Indian industry with amazing technical features with affordable prices. They used different type of Market research and strategies. When they introduced their phones in Indian market, where Brands like Samsung, Micromax are holding the market shares, but it changed gradually after Xiaomi introduced Redmi phones. The Redmi phones were comes with 4G technology at the time they introduced their smartphones. But in the industry, there were 3G phones were available from Micro max and Samsung. Social Media campaigns and Fan Festivals

When they introduced their smartphones in India, Xiaomi, Redmi, didn't have any print advertisements but they did sale through E-commerce platform like Flipkart. They used flash sale promotions in Flipkart to increase the sale. The Flipkart website crashed when Xiaomi started to sell their Redmi 3 phones through flash sales. They sold 10,000 phones and half million users participated in that campaign. They also maintain their Fans by creating fans festivals and local meetups to maintain their users same as Apple do. Sentimental Analysis

Xiaomi introduced their phones with amazing features with affordable price. Compared to other brands like Samsung and Micromax (They held the smartphone market in India) the price for the phones were cheap and users will get the best product/technology in the industry. Most of the people realize that they will get the best product with cheap price and without no print advertisement Xiaomi achieved their goals through Facebook promotions, company website (mi.com).

Social Customer Care

Xiaomi has a large number of customers in India, and they need to maintain their customer satisfaction in the proper way. They have dedicated customer care representative to respond to the users and moreover they have the community page for their customers : https://in.c.mi.com/. They started their sale through their official website and e-commerce website, Flipkart, users can review their product and the company gets reviews from their trusted customers. They listen their customers constantly to make their product better.
